Emily talks about her life and relatable stories where she aims to improve herself. Healthy diets are more important than ever in our lives and developing a well-balanced diet can be difficult. This week’s talk shares free health tips to suit busy lifestyles and improve our mindset. In a friendly, humorous and engaging talk to transform Emily, we travel with her on this journey from the very beginning.

She opens up about her issues including her anxiety, escaping reality and insecurities of making mistakes. It stemmed from her parents and an unstable family background with a small number of friends which contributed to her low self-esteem. One exercise is to think about five positive words about yourself and really embrace these traits so you can truly understand yourself.

We want to create a positive energy from her way of thinking and also her eating habits. By also focusing on your physical self, Emily was guided to focusing on eating from the unconscious mind and removing all distractions such as her phone and T.V. to eat in a meaningful manner. Other tips include understanding and managing your plate size so you are mindfully knowing how much you eat. Overeating can be a problem but it is account connecting with your inner self when eating that will be the most beneficial for you.

Sometimes we hear thoughts coming from our mind that most of the time are not true, so as we continue on this journey we will uncover more tips and tricks to understand why we have these thoughts and improve our mental well-being.

“Bringing food from home and preparing your own food is a good step to start off with to really enjoy your simply meal.”

This episode we focus on taking action in Emily’s life and also train her mind through meditation. Meditation can make you feel more powerful and also improve your inner wellbeing.

Her daily eating patterns include oats and some and fruit sometimes having fast food or event skipping breakfast entirely. Emily is confronted with her eating choices with fast food, and she said she is encouraged through giveaways and also competitions to choose the fast food option rather than eating good and healthier foods for breakfast. This is reflected in her energy for the day. It is encouraged that she should go home and cook from her research good vegetables and healthier food options. By doing so, it is recommended you write down how you are feeling and how your energy levels change throughout the day.

It is important to keep in mind that you consciously realise and ask the question to yourself “did I have healthy foods today” so you can take action to correct your eating habits. Another tip is heading to the markets and doing food prep yourself so you can really be involved in the whole cooking process. We also talk about music and meditation to connect with yourself. Emily did a short meditation practice and she realised that while doing meditation it is also important to find a purpose in understanding why we meditate. The purpose is important.
